Out of desperation, women resolve to sell their bodies to provide for their families. Young children, see their mothers and older sisters working this way and know that they too will do the same when they come “of age.” This becomes a generational pattern filled with trauma.

In addition to training in culturally applicable trades, we offer trauma counseling and education in sexual health and reproduction. There are opportunities to learn financial management and business planning. Interwoven throughout the program are invitations for a living relationship with Jesus.

We have a goal to collaboratively sustain this program through efforts both in and outside of Zimbabwe. While we work toward that intention, the program currently relies fully on donors. To effectively operate the training center at current capacity, we aim for $5,000 monthly. This allows for equipped staff, in depth training in local trades, one meal a day, and a monthly care package for each girl.
